Obverse Description
The obverse features Norman Rockwell’s iconic Slumbering Santa rendered in deep sculptural relief. Santa rests in his chair, surrounded by animated elves tending to toys and a dollhouse. Rockwell’s signature appears at lower right, with the sculptor’s initials at lower left. The design sits inside a soft rectangular frame, typical of mid-1970s Hamilton Mint art bars.
Reverse Description
The reverse contains the inscriptions:
“1975 / Second Annual Christmas Ingot / ‘Slumbering Santa’ / by Norman Rockwell”
Centered on a fine textured field. The HM hallmark at the bottom identifies the Hamilton Mint, which produced the annual Norman Rockwell silver ingot series from the mid-1970s.
